Santa Boy I was an absolute angel puppy ððš I barked @ every single thing mam did until she showed me what she was doing. ð§ I had to play all the time unless I was sleeping. ðĪŠ I kept mam sooooo busy that 1st year! Like they say, idle hands are the devils playground. ðððĪĢ Mam says even with the 24/7 crazy, she wouldn't trade me for the world. I was housetrained by 10weeks & other than stealing my favorite little persons stuffies, the only "bad" thing I did was chew up 2 tv remotes. ðĪ

PS: Remotes are tasty, so are wallets, books, couches, toes, you name it. I was a herder straight away, using my teethers to explore and learn. ððð You were exploring, Santa. Even human babies stuff everything in their mouths. ðð
Oh Santa you were and are so cute! Sounds like you are smart. I wonder if your mom just was trained like my mom to embrace all things you. Mom says life is too quiet without me and agrees she wouldn't want it any other way.
That was me as a pup too. lol. ð I still need to be involved in *everything* in the house. ð ð ð
Mom could tell that Sparky wasn't nipping to be bad, it was just his strong herding instinct combined with being excited to play. Right from the start, she could see that he was both very playful and intelligent.
aww Santa, you sound like Sparky as a pup. He was so energetic and playful, but at the same time he was non-stop herding mom so she had nip marks on her arms. She would play with him, and he'd get excited and nip. It took lots of time and patience to teach him not to do that. He also chewed up some random things like mom's slippers, chewing the corner of a cabinet, and various other things. I (Stella) was much calmer (for a border collie) and I likely learned from modeling Sparky's behaviors (he was already well trained when they got me) because I was an easier pup.
In my defense, the remotes were left on the couch for me to play with. ð
