Oskar Bear This is what I had to take anxiety medicine for Mom to squirt in my ear to prevent ear infections!! Now the medicine is wearing off and I’m hungry and want to play!!! I love you friends!❤️😊🐾
@yukon It is a very good ear wash brand! I don’t like getting my ears cleaned but I always feel better after!! The first anxiety med I tried was trazodone and it didn’t do anything for me, I’ve also used Benadryl before. Have you ever had an anxiety med? Mom hates giving any of them to me because I don’t like being sleepy and she feels bad but I am so crazy about ear washing
Sorry you have to get that done to you! It would be hell if I had to do that. I’m so peculiar about anyone touching me sometimes. No one can touch my feet! Sometimes mom can, sort of, like when I get a sticker in my paw. I’m just crazy sensitive about a lot of things!
@yukon my anxiety meds is alprazolam which is the generic for Xanax! I’ll have Mom check what milligram I take but I also tried ace something and it made me tired for like a whole day so we’re sticking with generic Xanax. A groomer stand is good idea!! What happened today is that Kieran petted me for e few minutes than hugged me on the couch (with a blanket on the couch) and then Mom walked up with the ear wash behind her back and pet me for a minute then SQUIRT!! And I jumped then she quickly got the other ear then all done and she massaged my ears which I like then we had a nice sleepy day, Mom and I napped together for like 2 hours❤️😊🐾
Ps: I’m so sorry you’re so fearful of getting this done. I am too. My mom’s tried everything. It helps a lot to use a groomer stand. I know what that space is & that it’s (kinda) ok. 😅😂😅
That’s a solid brand. We haven’t used this on my ears yet, but mom is thinking about trying now…shhhh…🤫 Do you mind sharing what kind of anti anxiety med you use? My mom’s always trying to find one that doesn’t trigger my seizures because I talk *a lot* at the groomer’s, even when the groomer’s mom. 😅😅😅
Your description sounds like Sparky when he hears the word bath. He falls on the floor and makes it impossible to pick him up. He gets nippy if you try.
Without medicine I run fast to a closet and hide in the clothes and knock them all down so she doesn’t wash my ears! And if she or Kieran tries to hold me I kick them!! And also scream!!

@yukon I am prescribed 1 mg of alprazolam and Mom usually gives me a half or quarter of the pill! And it works well! A half is usually good!!
