Bolt & Sis Deri I found these eggs on my morning walk with mom. We didn't see them yesterday. They were on the ground near a big bush. We don't know where the nest is. Mom thinks they're quail eggs. Life can be tough when you're an egg. 🐾🐾🤔🤔🤔😏😒
@boboboy_bordercollie I agree, it is always best to leave the eggs alone so you don’t put human scent on them. Maybe laying eggs in rocks is strategic to avoid snakes? In Florida, we don’t have rocks naturally so birds wouldn’t do that.
@stella Mom Googled quail eggs and it said they will lay eggs near bushes. The comment was also made that they are not the best parents and to leave the eggs alone. We'll see if the parents got responsible tomorrow. 🤣🤣🤣🤞

Interesting 🤔 What I do know, is quail eggies are delicious 😍 I don't get chicken eggies anymore, but duck & quail, love em! 🥰

Quail, Killdeer & other now inland former shore species, condors, pigeons, etc. If they had fallen, wouldn’t they have cracked on the rocks?
Many species lay eggs in gravel or on rocks.

Oh no, I hope they didn’t fall from the nest. We have turtles laying eggs near our house.
